How early should I order?
As soon as your date is set. Standard delivery is 7 to 14 days depending on the song, and you'll want time to hear it, request changes, and get it to your DJ. If your wedding is close, choose rush delivery.
When does my delivery time start?
Your delivery time starts once two things are in: your payment and your completed Love Story Workbook. If your workbook comes in late or is missing details, your delivery date moves with it, so send it as soon as you can.
How are the songs made? Is AI involved?
Yes, and I want you to know exactly how. I write every lyric myself, by hand, from your love story. The music and vocals are then produced with AI music tools, and I guide, review, and refine every song until it's right. Some photos and videos on this page and in my promotions are also AI-generated. If you'd like a live human vocalist instead, email me and I'll quote it for you.
Will I hear my song before the wedding?
Yes. You'll receive your song to review before final delivery. Listen closely, then send your revision notes in one message so I can make every change at once.
What if I don't love it?
Every song includes revisions: 1 for Before She Walks, 2 for The Walk, and 3 for Our First Dance. Revisions cover changes to lyrics, names, details, tempo, and feel. A completely new concept or a different story after writing has started counts as a new song.
What is your refund policy?
Every My Forever song is custom-made for one couple and can't be resold, so here's how refunds work:
- Before writing starts: cancel within 24 hours of purchase and before you've sent your Love Story Workbook for a full refund. To cancel, email collab@nikthelyricist.com. Approved refunds are issued within 3 business days to your original payment method, and your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
- After writing starts: no refunds. My time and creative work go into your song from the moment I begin.
- Not feeling it after your revisions? You can choose a one-time exchange: a brand-new song for the same moment, credit toward a different My Forever package, or a song for another occasion, like a birthday, anniversary, or other special event.
- Rush fees are non-refundable once work has started.
- Wedding postponed or canceled? Your song or credit stays good for 12 months. If writing hasn't started, I can hold your spot.
By completing your purchase, you agree to this policy.
What if my wedding date changes?
Just email me your new date. If your song hasn't been written yet, I'll move your spot. If it's done, it's already yours, and I can update the date in the lyrics as one of your revisions.
Will the lyrics be church-appropriate?
Yes. Every song is clean, with no profanity or explicit content. Gospel and inspirational styles are available if you want faith woven into your song.
Can my DJ or venue play it?
Yes. You receive MP3 and WAV files, plus a DJ-ready version with The Walk and above. Just hand them the files.
Can I give this as a surprise to my fiancé?
Absolutely. Fill out the workbook with what you know, and tell me it's a surprise. Our First Dance can include his side of the story if you'd like to ask him a few questions quietly.
Can I post my song online or put it on Spotify?
Your song is yours to play at your wedding, in your wedding video, at anniversaries, and on your personal social media. It's licensed for personal use, so it can't be sold, released on streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music, or used in ads.
Want to release it? Add the Release Upgrade to buy out the release rights to your song. You'll be able to put it on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other platforms under your own names, with songwriting credit to Nik the Lyricist. Just add the Release Upgrade at checkout when you choose your song.
Is my love story kept private?
Yes. Your workbook answers are only used to write your song. I'll never share your story, names, or song publicly without your permission. If you love your song and are happy to share it, I'd be honored to feature it, but only with your yes.
Can you say our names exactly right?
Yes. In your workbook, spell out how to pronounce any names that might be tricky (for example, "Jah-NAY"). If a name still doesn't sound right in your preview, fixing it is part of your revisions.
Who writes these songs? Have you done this before?
I'm Nik the Lyricist, and writing is what I do. I'm the songwriter behind Alisha Inari, my R&B artist project. Her songs are streaming now on Spotify, YouTube, and other major platforms, and every lyric is mine. I'm not new to this, I'm true to this. Hear for yourself:

Do you write songs for other occasions?
Yes. Besides weddings, I write custom songs for birthdays, anniversaries, vow renewals, proposals, baby showers, memorials, and more. Email collab@nikthelyricist.com with your occasion and I'll send you options. You can listen here to hear the kind of songs I write.
How do I pay?
Checkout is secure through Stripe, which takes debit and credit cards and, on most devices, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
